Frascole, a borderland. A few steps through the vineyards or into the small hamlet of the winery, and the view changes completely, overlooking the Mugello or the Valdisieve, with a view of the distant hills that surround Florence. Important archaeological finds testify to grape cultivation on this soil as far back as the Etruscans and later the Comana people.
Up here, between 300 and 500 metres, where the climatic characteristics of Chianti Rufina are extreme, artisanal wines are born, followed from the vineyard to the cellar to the bottle.
Reds and whites are made from both native vines, such as Sangiovese and Trebbiano, but also non-native ones, which, when exposed to this land, reveal intriguing characteristics.
Each bottle's journey is carefully monitored to ensure its unique characteristics. The most precious gem, the Vinsanto DOC made from Trebbiano grapes, takes over ten years to complete its journey. The same hills are home to the olive trees from which the extra virgin olive oil is pressed.
Since 1992, the Lippi and Santoni families have been personally dedicated to producing wine and oil, fully respecting the landscape and nature. Always organic, both the wines and oil have been certified organic since 1999.
The small medieval village where the winery is located also offers space for those seeking a farmhouse holiday, immersed in nature but with the wonders of Tuscan culture within easy reach.
The beauty and tranquility of the place can be enjoyed thanks to the renovation of the old houses, each completely independent and with its own garden. The swimming pool is exclusively for the use of guests, nestled in a natural setting among vineyards, olive trees, and wild plants, with a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside and woods.
